Currently, vol 36.

We are beginning the winter solstice, and this means that the days are slowly getting longer. That means spring, my 21st birthday, and more sunshine. There is a snowstorm though so it doesn't make it feel like spring is coming. Well yesterday I wrapped almost all my gifts minus one, watched Christmas Vacation and the Polar Express, and crochet more of my blanket all while wearing footie pajamas. I have the day off of work thank goodness, and I will be getting ready for church right after finishing this post.
Currently....
Reading.. Charlie St. Cloud. I have other books in mind after that one. I love reading when it isn't for a grade.

Writing.. Christmas cards to family. I sent cards to friends last week, and all seven went to completely different states. IL, WI, IA, IN, CO, MI, and MD.

Thinking.. About all the snow outside right now, and I hope the roads will not be slippery. I do not like driving in the snow.

Smelling.. Not a lot. My nose is stuffy. I think I'm allergic to pet fur. I have two dogs and a cat which probably isn't helping.

Wishing.. That I could have seen my childhood best friends yesterday. My friends from Vegas came in for their grandmas funeral, and we tried to make plans for dinner. I've known them for 15 years.

Wearing.. Nursing school sweatpants, a tanktop, and a towel on my head.

Loving.. All the hours my boss have me at work since the normal opener went on vaca. I work 5am-1pm ish. Getting up at 3:45 is a little tough.

Wanting.. To watch the snow fall all day, but church is calling and Christmas baking after is a lot of fun.

Needing.. To get this towel off my head before my hair dries really weird. Not that I need to do my hair since the snow will ruin it, and I don't have a hat or hood.

Feeling.. A little bit better from the bad news about school (you can read about it in the last post), but I'm still very upset with myself for being in the position I'm in.

Clicking.. The publish button.

Merry early Christmas!

  1. Ugh I used to work the 4:55 a.m. shift at my job in college, but I loved having the rest of my day free for everything else I needed to do! Regular hours really are the best; I get so much more done when I'm in a routine.

  2. I have a dog and I'm slightly allergic to them so I know how you feel. I always hated being forced to read books for class but I love reading when it isn't assigned. :)
