Day 1- A photo of yourself and a description of how your day was.
That is me... while I write this blog post. I had a pretty good day. It was a pretty average day in the life of Brittany. I woke up at 10:30 AM. I lounged around until around 1PM. I ran a couple of errands for my mom who has a cold. My mom cooked some sausages on the grill, we made corn on the
cob, and I made a fruit salad...
Strawberries, grapes, bananas, and pineapple!
Now I am just watching the bachelorette and relaxing in my air conditioned home! Thank you to all the men and women serving in the United States Armed Forces. I am blessed to have known many different people and great friends that serve and are serving for our country. They fight for our freedom everyday, and they deserve recognition everyday!
I have been going crazy! Why? Because my room was disaster. I was only about halfway unpacked from coming home from college, but there was stuff everywhere!!! Let me tell you: 2 laundry baskets, over 100 books on the floor, containers of college things, buckets of hair products and nail stuff, and all of my usual things. So I decided to look online for a bookshelf. I found a $20 bookshelf and a 20% off coupon for Target. I figured that if I bought a bookshelf that I would actually clean my room. I was right! It took 20 minutes to put the shelf together, and 5 hours to clean and rearrange my room. Here's a picture of my new bookshelf... We will see how long my room will stay clean!
I have been home for one whole week! It is both sad and exciting. I miss school and all my friends their. Hopefully I can hang out with my high school friends while I'm home!
My goals for summer break(3 1/2 months):
1. Get a job. (check)
2. Get a full time job.(check)
3. Get a tan.
4. Hang out with friends.
I will be working my normal job at Panera Bread. I love working there except how I feel afterward. I also got a full time job at the hospital my moms works at for the government. I am excited, but nervous. I have already had a TB test and blood drawn; which is a piece of cake for me. Tomorrow I go in for my physical and fingerprinting. I am going to be a health tech or a health aid. I will technically be working for the Department of Defense and the Department of Veteran's Affairs. Super Excited!
My new work!
Also a quick shout-out to one of my great friends: Lori! Today is her 20th birthday!!!
South Hall I will miss you. I will miss the gigantic closet, 80 degree heat in the winter, the narrow hallways were we sit and talk to friends for hours, and I will miss hanging out at the coolest front desk around complete with a ping pong table. I will NOT miss the mice, cold showers, birds awaking you up at 4 am, the three flights of stairs (one way) to do my laundry, the hallow walls and doors that let you hear everything, and especially the loud courtyard. I will miss the beautiful courtyard, but not all the echoing.
There she is!
I am officially on summer break, but I will really miss my amazing friends!!
Its that time of the semester again. I have completed two of my finals; all at the same time while battling a cold. I got 10 hours of sleep last night thanks to NyQuil (my new best friend). I have three more exams, and then I can pack up, clean up, and go home for 4 whole months!!! Woohoo. I am sure going to miss my friends being just down the hall though.
