Oh what a semester!

Well folks, I have completed my 7th semester at my college! I have also successfully completed the class I didn't pass last year!Thank the Lord. I had a great semester with new and old friends. It was absolutely great living in a dorm again, and I can't wait for the next three semesters with my great roommates! Just a quick thanks to all my friends and family who have supported me this semester!

So glad to call this woman my best friend!
My awesome roommates!

My insanely smart clinical group!
And the balloons that I have been ready to pop since August!
I have loved all the adventures, laughs, and stressful moments this semester, but I am extremely excited to move onto this next semester. First, I am going to Ecuador in less than a month! I am nervous and excited. Happy Christmas break (or almost break for you Lori)! Enjoy the time with your friends and family. For now, I am trying to recover from this sickness with Netflix!

3rd blog anniversary!!

Hello blogging world! I know I have been neglecting this blog, but it is basically at the bottom on my list of priorities. I have had a great three years with this blog and the adventures that have followed. Within the last year, I have been studying very hard and working like none other. I am in my first of two senior years, nannying, working on campus, and taking many, many classes. I am thankful for the people in my life like my family, my friends: Lori, Em, Kaity, Mo, Ary, and my boyfriend Chris. I am excited for the next year as well. I am going to Ecuador in January. It should be a great start to 2015.

I hope to one day pick this back up, but this semester is busier that the rest of  the semesters combined. I hope that I still have readers out there somewhere. Happy Friday! -b

Weekend Wrapup. :)

The weekend is over. :( This is terrible. It has been a great one too! Friday I had class and work until 4:30. Some friends and I headed to Target, Michaels, and the dollar store for a few things. After that I headed to Lori's house to spend the night! We partially watched Cadet Kelly, but we were both very tired.
Before...
Saturday, Lori and I ate mini donuts and apple juice for breakfast around 8 am. I made a birthday card for my momma since it was her birthday. At 11am, our school hosted the color rush for the third time. It is a 5k on campus for Homecoming! It was raining, windy, and cold (40 degrees). I wore so many layers! Below is the after picture with all our color! After that I cleaned up, went to the craft fair at school, and got Aurelio's pizza with mom! That evening, I went back to Lori's. We finished our movie!
...after!
Sunday, Lori and I got up around 8:30. We lounged for a while trying to figure out what to do for breakfast. We headed to Baker's Square for breakfast, and followed that by going to Michaels for more yarn! We then watched tv for a while including Stick It, The Parent Trap, and later on Once Upon A Time.
Hot cocoa for Lori.
Hot coffee for me.

We both got omeletes!
It was a great, unproductive weekend spent with friends and my mom. I am excited for this week as it's only four days! Lori and I are going to her home for Reading Weekend! I love Michigan. It is just beautiful!

I hope you all have a lovely, fall week!

Currently, vol 58.

Happy Sunday!!! The sun is shining, it looks like fall, and Lori and I are curled up on the couch doing absolutely nothing. Homework isn't getting done, and I don't care. Because in two weeks time, I am going to be so busy with no time to relax or sleep in. It has been a great weekend! I will do a weekend wrap up tomorrow.

Here is what's going on currently..
Reading: Seventeen magazine, a jamberry catalog, and window shopping online. I didn't bring any homework to Lori's.
Thinking: about the fact it is going to be a 4 day week! No school on Friday!!!
Listening: to the tv. We are watching The Parent Trap! Always a classic.
Writing: this post and that's it.
Smelling: nothing.
Wishing: this weekend didn't have to end.
Hoping: I can crank out my journal assignment for psych tonight after Once Upon A Time
Wearing: a crew neck sweatshirt and yoga pants. My favorite outfit!
Loving: the crisp air and colorful trees!
Wanting: Friday to be here now. Lori and I are headed to Michigan next weekend for a short camping trip!
Needing: more people to buy tshirts from me! Thank you to the people that already have!
Feeling: sore from our 5k yesterday.
Clicking: Publish.

Have a great week!

Well, I am a nonexistent blogger...

Pe class: takes us off campus to the driving range!
My gorgeous RA, Sara, brought us banana choc-chip bread. :)
My best friend!
Hey everyone, so if it wasn't obvious, I haven't blogged in over 15,000 days. Well, that's a lie; it's been more like a month. In the past month, I have moved back on campus, into my amazing dorm, bonded with my sweet, crazy, and loud roomies, and have seen my best friend (pictured above) 3 times.

I am taking four actual classes, auditing two class, working three jobs, and trying to have a social life. It isn't really happening very well, but you know, I'll have a breakdown really soon.

Today is Friday, and I am sitting down before getting ready for work. After work, a few friends of mine and I are going downtown for the evening. It's $4 for the cta, there is a free Chicago Symphony Orchestra concert at Millenium Park, and BOGO Chipotle!! Tomorrow Lori, Jen, and I (maybe more) are going to IKEA!

So that's whats going on right now. Hopefully I will begin blogging more. Yes I am a terrible person. Well, I'm gonna go be productive now.

Happy Friday,
Brit

Robin Williams.

To the man who has provided many laughs,

You have accomplished so much in your great lifetime. You grew up 20 minutes from where I live. You attended Julliard with Christopher Reeves. You have made history with spectacular films, comedy appearances, and fantastic interviews. I guess we could compare your career to a fine wine; which, only gets better as it ages. Not to mention entertaining thousands of military men and women.

Thank you for all you have done for those around you. I am sorry to say that I have only indulged in a handful of your humorous and awesome movies. I now have an itch to watch them all. You have left behind a world that adores you, friends that love you, and family that will always miss you. The world, including myself, was shocked yesterday by learning of your untimely departure from this earth. I'm sorry you had to suffer through inflicting pain and causing asphyxiation. It is hard to imagine a wonderfully, hilarious man such as yourself battling drug and alcohol abuse along side depression.

I pray for your family, friends, community, and fans comfort during this time of your tragic loss. I will always remember you as the man who embraced his femininity of Mrs. Doubtfire, his magical talents as a Genie, and extraterrestrial side in Happy Days. May you have peace in knowing your pain and sadness is no more.

Sincerely,
A fan in disbelief

RIP Robin Williams

Best movie of all time. Oddly, watch it whenever i'm depressed..
source
A side note about myself and depression.
I don't really like to talk about myself and the private aspects of my emotions. I battled depression for a period of time this past year. After not passing my first nursing class correctly, I became depressed. People told me to suck it up, and just wait for the fall to start over. It is hard to hear those words, and be okay with how brutal their words were.

I am a person who plans, and to have my plans ripped out from under me, I was devastated. You are talking about an entire year gone. I don't get to graduate when I planned or with the friends I have. I have to pay thousands dollars in extra tuition, fees, and books. I was depressed.

The only thing keeping me going was knowing I have friends and family waiting for me at the end. I have people that love, support, and push me to be my best. I still have moments when I hate what happened, but I know that this was God's choosing. Now I need to accept what happened, be less upset, and find out why I wasn't meant to graduate in May of 2015.

If anyone, friends, family, blogger friends, or people I don't know, are having problems; please talk to someone who will listen. Let them take what you say to heart and take it seriously. Depression isn't easy. It is a disease. It took a man that was brilliantly hilarious from this earth.

*Thank you for reading my rant/story. I apologize if some of my grammar isn't good tonight. I am battling a migraine from this afternoon.

I'm postponing my blogpost till tomorrow. Church was at the beach and now I'm at another beach soaking in the rays.

Currently, vol 57

New haircut!
Mom and I at a family get together.
I'm currently sitting on the couch. I have worked 14 days in a row. My boss gave me the day off tomorrow, Thursday, and next Monday! I am just worn out from all the working. Panera isn't a hard job, but when you have to be on your feet the entire time it's just physically demanding/exhausting.

I'm currently finalizing all my plans for my first "senior" year at school. I have made the decision to move back on campus, but I need to tell the aunt I lived with that I will not be living with her. It's emotionally stressful. I just need to dedicate as much time as possible as the class I am re-doing this semester is vital to continuing at school.

I'm currently working on my plans for my day off tomorrow. I thought I would sleep in, but my mom has asked me to mow the lawn, do dishes, and clean the shower. I want to go to Ikea with Chris tomorrow too. That store is just awesome. 3 stories of Swedish home products, Swedish food, and Swedish fish... I'm there.

I'm currently relaxing as much as possible because once school starts there is no stopping. Therefore, I'm gonna go lay on the couch watching whatever is on tv on Sunday nights. (It's very limited as I don't have cable.)

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend.

Currently, vol 56.

I am currently relaxing and reading a boom. I had an ice cream cone for dinner and salad for breakfast at work. I am trying to survive right now as I am working 11 days in a row. I'm hoping to have a real post up next Sunday. Hope you all had a good weekend! I'm probably gonna fall asleep before 8pm let's be real.
This week is/was the Lake County Fair! It was super good, but very expensive. We rode a couple rides. Ate junk food like corn, ice cream, and my fave: a deep fried Milky Way! Bella Cain (a local touring band) played for a couple hours. We had black cherry Mike's and danced the night away. (By we: myself and mom). It was a ton of fun!

Have a good week!

Currently, vol 55.

So... July blogging almost didn't happen. Is it sad that I really don't want to sit on my laptop and type away... So I said, "Brittany, you are going to blog. Now." I have been super busy. Hopefully all the things I need to do get worked out, and I hope I can make decisions about school soon. So much going on, but no time!

Here is what's going on currently..
Reading: Girls In White Dress. I renewed it at the library once. Maybe I will actually read it. I am just not in the mood after reading all semester.
Thinking: about my giant and ever growing to-do list.
Listening: to the radio in the background and neighbors partying.
Writing: this post and then heading outside to relax. We broke out the kiddie pool for the choocers.
Smelling: nothing
Wishing: for a good run maybe today or tomorrow. I've been lazy and it is showing.
Hoping: for help making my decisions easier. My heart and mind are so tense and upset over things right now.
Wearing: comfy summer clothes.
Loving: the nice breeze outside. It is supposed to be hot the beginning of the week. Boo.
Wanting: to take a nap.
Needing: to take a shower after work today. The a/c stopped working in the BOH (back of house) at Panera. Talk about hot.
Feeling: tired and worn out emotionally.

Hope you all have a great week!

Currently, vol 54.

I am currently doing nothing... absolutely nothing. I hope to recap my week of work and redecorating my bedroom, and to also recap my weekend day trip to Lake Geneva, WI. I am going to relax, and I will watch some netflix.

Tuesday, June 24, 2014

Oh, what a day...

So, today was Sunday for me. I really wanted to get my bedroom walls painted today, but it was way to humid to do so. I touched up a few spots on the ceiling only to find more that I missed this evening. I went to Old Navy because I had super cash to spend and $10 in rewards there. I bought 2 dresses, 1 shirt, and 1 pair of work pants. I paid 26 dollars! I don't really buy myself clothes often for fear of me losing weight and wasting my money on clothes fitting temporarily. Here is a picture of a dress that I got for 90% off!
It's more of a fall dress, but it is so comfy!
Not bad for 3 bucks!
On another note, has anyone else been having crazy weather? I feel like I have moved to Washington. It is either hot and humid or cold and rainy. The past week has been insanely foggy in the morning, and it has been this evening as well. The picture below kind of shows the fog. (Sorry iPhone pic) I live less than a mile from Lake Michigan, and this affects the weather a ton! If you drive west, you can watch the temperature climb within miles. It is so weird to leave work, and by the time I get home it is 10 degrees cooler. Cross your fingers for me, that it won't be humid in the morning! I want/need to paint today as my work week starts at 4pm tomorrow!

Creepy!
Hope you all had a good Tuesday!

Sunday, June 22, 2014

Currently, vol 53.

Happy Sunday to you all! It is officially Friday for me! I have Mondays and Tuesdays off. So that is my weekend. This "weekend" I will be painting my room, as long as the rain holds off, because I moved all of my belongings into my living room. My mom might kill me if all my stuff stays there for more than a couple days.

After work yesterday, my mom and I headed about 45 minutes away to the shoe store where I got my custom running shoes almost two weeks ago. On the way, the sky looked really black, and I mean black. It down poured so bad I had to pull off of the road for twenty minutes. There were two tornadoes spotted in Northern IL. Let's just say, I am not a fan of thunderstorms.

My extremely empty room...
It's also super tiny.
Goodbye blue, hello grey!
Here is what's going on currently..
Reading: The One & Only by Emily Giffin. It is actually due tomorrow at the library. Unfortunately I won't be finishing it as I am on page 2.
Thinking: about how I want to arrange my room.
Listening: fireworks... I guess illegal fireworks are starting early this year. (IL is in between to legal states for fireworks)
Writing: this post and then heading back to hulu to catch up on the 13 shows in my queue.
Smelling: the putty to fill holes in the wall.
Wishing: for no rain tomorrow! If it does rain, I have errands and chores to accomplish too.
Hoping: summer will actually arrive. Yesterday was the "first" day of summer, but it has been in the 60s/low 70s here by Lake Michigan with lots of fog and rain.
Wearing: pj's as it is bed time.
Loving: the change to my room. Maybe it will help me to accomplish other things on my to do list... since I am feeling motivated.
Wanting: to workout, but the Reese's flavored Oreos sound awful tempting.
Needing: to enjoy the next 2.5 days off of work.
Feeling: tired.

Have a great week!

Time for a fresh start.

I have made the decision to redecorate and paint my bedroom. While deciding what to do, what to purchase, and what color to paint my walls, I have been cleaning, sorting, recycling, and donating a lot of things. In the process I have found my stash of gas receipts from the whole semester. With my crazy semester this spring, I decided to calculate how many miles I drove and how much I spent on gas. So here are the stats:
This is where all my money goes...
-20 fill-ups from mid-January to mid-May
-$595.50 spent on regular unleaded gas
-4,520.6 miles traveled

Anyway, I have bought the paint, and I am pleased with my choice (so far). It is a super light grey called feather lite by Dutch Boy from Menards.

It's the color on the left, but due to not good lighting it looks more creme than grey.
Now, I just need a not so humid day/day off of work to paint my ceiling and walls!

I'll post an update on life eventually.

Currently, vol 52.

It's currently 10:30 pm, and I am so glad to be laying down. It has been a long and busy day for me. I worked from 6am-2pm, mowed the back yard, and went for a bike ride with mom (all before 5pm). I grilled steaks for dinner, but I would have liked them to be pinker (not to shabby for my first time grilling steak). Mom and I watched Miss USA, and Nevada was crowned thirty minutes ago. I like the idea of competition between the states, but the bad spray tans and breast implants are not natural or normal for the everyday women of this country. So I feel that it now just becoming a beauty competition with who can wear a dress with the most bling. Anyway....

Here is what's going on currently..
Reading: nothing sadly. I just feel like I don't have enough time.
Thinking: about what I want to accomplish this week. I have been cleaning, organizing, and planning some changes to my bedroom.
Listening: to Hell's Kitchen. I am watching the latest episode on Hulu.
Writing: this post. I need to write three other posts, but I am lacking motivation!
Smelling: my shampoo.
Wishing: for more hours at work. I am trying to earn enough money for my mission trip to Ecuador. I know it isn't until January, but I need to get ahead. The only thing in my way is the sale on the iPad mini at Target right now... Payday is Friday. Decisions...
Hoping: to accomplish a lot around the house during the next three days that I have off, and then to have a good week working, attending a grad party, and driving to my dad's Saturday for an early Father's Day lunch.
Wearing: pj's.
Loving: the weather. It feels like fall! Low 70s aren't normal, but I am not complaining. I love it.
Wanting: to get in good workouts this week. Mom signed us up for a Firecracker 5k for the US Navy base that I used to work for. It's on the 3rd of July, and they always have the best fireworks on the 3rd/4th.
Needing: to chill for the rest of the night.
Feeling: good.
Clicking: Publish!

Have a great week! I will try to update you all on my life eventually!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Sunday, Happy Mother's Day, and Happy Eat What You Want Day! (seems legit)

I hope you all have a great day whether it's with or without the women who brought you into the world. I am spending time with my mom and gma before heading back to the dungeon of studying for finals.
Love you MOM!

Currently, vol 51.

Hey everyone! It has been another busy week around here... from classes, to a field trip, and 15 hours of work. I worked on my PowerPoint for my Tuesday night class for 8 hours or more yesterday. I took a break to go get Chinese with mom, and we stopped at Jewel to get a couple things. I may or may not have eaten an entire pint of Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. YUM. Happy Star War's Day/Cinco de Mayo Eve.
Henna from Litte India, Devon Avenue in Chicago
What it looked like after the stuff peeled off!
So here is what's going on currently...
Reading: well re-reading all my notes, textbooks, and lectures for the semester.
Thinking: about what I need to accomplish this week especially if I am going out Mon night for drinks.
Listening: Lady Gaga is singing. I might be singing along. Also, my little dog is snoring. :)
Writing: this post and then time to write pathophysiology notes for the last three weeks. I'm behind. :(
Smelling: nada.
Wishing: for permanent nice weather. It was 65 yesterday. It has rained for what seems like the last week. I don't recall moving to Washington?
Hoping: that Ulta will have my eyeliner... especially since there $1 sale starts today! Also hoping I can go to Starbucks's Frapp Happy Hour today!
Wearing: running shorts and a workout shirt despite my plans not to workout.
Loving: sleeping for more than 6 hours this weekend. I really need a day to sleep in.
Wanting: the next 11 days to be productive. Then it will be summer!
Needing: to eat breakfast and start studying... I am skipping church. I feel bad.
Feeling: stressed, just stressed.

I hope you all have a good week preferably with no stress!

P.S. Go Blackhawks!!!

Currently, vol 50.

Another week has come and gone. My stress level is ever increasing, and my quality of sleep is decreasing. We are approaching finals! I am very ready for summer, but there are two weeks of classes and finals in my way. Today is going to be a good day. It is my cousin's youngest child's baptism, and it is the same cousin's middle child's 2nd bday party. Oh, also the blackhawks are playing!
Yes, yes they are.
So here is what's going on currently...
Reading: well finished reading The Fault in Our Stars. This was such a good book.
Thinking: about the homework I should have done this weekend, but errands took longer than anticipated. Also, I just didn't want to do it.
Listening: Ellie Goulding in the background.
Writing: this blog post. I need to blow dry my hair though...
Smelling: my shampoo?
Wishing: for warmer weather. Chicago is supposed to get rained on all week. :( It's only in the fifties too.
Hoping: for a good day, but I still want to be home early to do homework and pack.
Wearing: a towel on my head and a t-shirt that is so big it's a dress.
Loving: that there are buds on the trees and tulips are coming up!
Wanting: for finals to be done and over.
Needing: to eat breakfast.
Feeling: stressed beyond comprehension.

I hope you all have a good week!

Currently, vol 49.

Happy Easter!!! I hope you all have a great day! I am currently celebrating the resurrection of my Savior! I was in the office at church today since my mom wasn't feeling well. Later, we will have dinner with some extended family. :) As for now, I am reading a book while snuggling with my dogs.

Sunday, April 13, 2014

Currently, vol 48.

I am so glad to be writing this post because it means I am at home. I survived the worst day possible at Panera. Our air conditioning wasn't working, we were so busy we had a line out the door with grumpy customers, and we ran out of bagels at 10am. This never happens. I am also glad to say I survived my first 5k. My mom, our friend Laurie, and myself all signed up for the Race to Wrigley. It is a charity race for the children's hosp in Chicago. I ran most of the race while they walked. It was a very fun experience. I now want to train for the Shamrock Shuffle 8k in April.
Running in the Race to Wrigley 5k!
Yes my mother is an interesting person.
While running, I looked up and directly in the middle of the picture, I saw
the John Hancock. This is why I love Chicago.
The ever amazing Wrigley Field (the home of the Chicago Cubs).
So here is what's going on currently...
Reading: Textbooks, articles, and nursing journals oh my! I am ready for the semester to be over.
Thinking: I really shouldn't be going out to Chili's with Chris and Ary tonight. I have an exam Wednesday.
Listening: to the washer running, the cat running around, and Pompeii in the background.
Thinking: about wanting to take a nap, but that is not in the cards today.
Smelling: the dark chocolate pomegranate thingys I was snacking on.
Wishing: for sunny weather. We had a hail storm yesterday, and I heard it was pretty bad. Chicago didn't get hit, but my home which is straight north of the city did.
Hoping: for the week to go by slowly, or that I can get the proper amount of studying done between now and Wed @ 8am.
Wearing: My work clothes still.
Loving: the warmer weather! Tomorrow is supposed to be 40, but other than that 50/60s are fantastic.
Wanting: for finals to be done and over.
Needing: a weekend to myself.
Feeling: apprehensive about the week ahead.

Have a great week everyone.

Currently trying to survive.

(photo circa 1996)
I miss you Gramps. It was 6 years on the 1st that you left this earth.
I am thankful for all the memories I had with you.
I love you dearly.
I have been unproductive to the max this weekend. So I will make this another short post, and I will finially do my homework. I worked Thurs, Fri, and today. I worked out at my gym Fri and Sat. I went to the movies to see God's Not Dead with mom and gma. It was a pretty good movie. Now I am trying to play catch up until 5 when I will  be picking up a friend and meeting another at Olive Garden.

Currently...
I am being productive. No more blogging until the homework is complete probably around.... never. Who are we kidding, nursing students never have free time.

Just no time...

So... I am super busy. That is the story of my life. I worked Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 5am-1pm and Sunday 7-2. I didn't really get as much homework done as I planned/needed/have to do. So, I am popping in to say I won't be blogging this week because I am going to be extremely busy. Hope you all have a great day since it's supposed to be unbelievably warm (60s?) for the first time in months!

Sunday, March 23, 2014

Currently, vol 46.

Well this week has been a blast. Busy at school, work @ Panera, and my 21st bday. I just finished my bday recap. Today will be a busy day of lots of homework, and installing a new water heater. Our basement half flooded, and we have no hot water. Therefore, no shower till it's fixed.
Finally 21!
Currently...
Reading.. The Fault in Our Stars. I am still reading it, and it is a great book to pick up and continue after a long day of learning or work.

Writing.. in my new 5-year journal I received for my bday. It asks the same question everyday for five years.

Thinking.. about all the homework I should have accomplished yesterday.

Listening.. to Catching Fire in the background. I seriously love this movie!

Smelling.. nothing.

Wishing.. for warmer weather. I am thankful there is no snow, but getting out of the 30s would be better.

Wearing.. a sweatshirt and pj pants. This is my go-to Sunday outfit before church, but since we have no hot water.. no church for us.

Loving.. the sunshine. It is coming through my window, and it is so bright!

Wanting.. to find food for breakfast. I ate a hard-boiled egg; not filling at all.

Needing.. to go for another run yesterday. I took tommy out yesterday, and we went maybe a half mile because it was so cold. Also a lady had her dog off it's leash (city law: dogs must have a leash). She proceeded to tell me she didn't care, and she definitely called me a bad name. Jerk.

Feeling.. so much better than yesterday. My head killed because of the alcohol from Friday night. Oh well.

Have a great week!

P.S. The Blackhawks won on my birthday!! We watched the game at the bar in the casino!

21st Birthday!

I was born on March 21, 1993 @ 6:22 a.m. to two loving parents. I was born five weeks early; which my original due date was the 28th of April. I was 4 lbs. 15 oz and who knows how long. So this year my birthday was: On a Friday, My golden bday, and obviously my 21st!

I woke up at 6:20 because it is tradition with my mom and I to be awake at the time I was born. I laid in bed until 6:30 because I knew my mom was wrapping my gifts. We ate coffeecake for breakfast, and I definitely contemplated having either a shot or a Mike's hard lemonade with it. At 9, I got my stitches taken out after having my wisdom teeth out over spring break! Fun times.
I got the 5 year journal, Catching Fire (with/popcorn + 100 grand bar),
iTunes, 21 button, and a shot glass!
As well as money to spend at the casino. :)

Mom and I went to Wildberry (which is a breakfast/lunch place with amazing food) to meet my Grandma for a late breakfast. The food was good, and the company was great. I got a caramel latte, and a bacon/cheddar omelet with hashbrowns and pancakes. I was full for probably seven hours.

Delish!
The surprise cake they brought while I was alone at the table.
Mom and grandma both went to pay or something.
After breakfast, we headed a mile down the road to the DMV. I wanted more than anything to get my license changed. We spend maybe thirty minutes waiting in one line just to go the cashier/sit to wait again to get my picture taken.

My mom and her best friend Laurie took me to Rivers Casino for a night of fun. I spent seventy dollars of birthday money, and I didn't win anything! I had many drinks, and I felt great. lol We went to the steakhouse they had at the casino, and boy it was expensive. I got the cheapest thing on the menu for 14 dollars. We got home around 1am, and I went straight to sleep. I had a terrible headache yesterday, and doing homework was absolutely terrible.

I am happy to share my birthday with someone I have grown up with for a long time. My neighbor Chelsea also turned 21 on the same day! We are 6 hours apart, and I am older!
Playing the slots since I don't know how to gamble!

Now back to reality of homework, homework, and more homework.

Currently, vol 45.

I'm sitting under my miss-matched Christmas lights, watching Fireproof, and just relaxing. I am writing this post on Saturday night because I am working two shifts at Panera tomorrow. I get the joy to toast bagels, create delicious drinks, and take customers orders for 12 hours. This both sarcastic and not sarcastic. Sunday marks the end of an uneventful spring break. I got my wisdom teeth removed, ate out with friends, watched way to much Netflix, and did barely any homework. I am ready to start classes again, and I am excited to see my college friends again. :)

Adorable puppies from a pet expo on Friday.
Currently....
Reading.. The Fault in Our Stars. I am still reading it, but I have enjoyed not having to read textbooks.

Writing.. this blogpost among journal articles and essays for scholarships.

Thinking.. about taking my shower tonight and not in the morning so I can wake up just a tad bit later.

Listening.. to Fireproof. It's a Christian movie with bad acting, but it is cute every once in a while.

Smelling.. nothing right now, but my sweet neighbor brought mom and I a whole pie from Bakers Square.

Wishing.. and hoping that the snow they are predicting will not be a lot.

Wearing.. a sweatshirt and sweatpants. This will probably never change. I am not complaining.

Loving.. the break I had from school. Much needed.

Wanting.. to get good sleep before the week starts. Sleep is going to get sparse again.

Needing.. to start exercising. I lost six pounds this week due to not eating cause of my wisdom teeth surgery, and I want to keep it up.

Feeling.. excited. 6 days until my birthday!

Have a great week!
