A very random blog post.

Hey all you lovely people!
I am practically out of things to say already. I just don't have the blogging fever anymore. I have been awake and on my feet since 4:45 a.m. I was at work for nine hours and then proceeded to head the gym I joined yesterday. I have been eating not so healthy food, and I refuse to gain the weight I lost. So, I downloaded new music to my ipod, tightened up my laces, and hit the rubberized track. I got the college student monthly rate, and being that I still have a month at home I figured I will actually use it. I am excited to work out at 5 am from now on! Not! I figured that if I workout that early I will be motivated to eat healthy and live healthy the rest of the day.

I hope that everyone's Christmas's were spectacular! Mine was very traditional and that is just what I wanted. My whole family goes to my grandma's house on Christmas Eve to celebrate and open gifts (now just money). On Christmas Day, my mom and I open each other's gifts and have cinnamon rolls. In the afternoon we go to my Great Aunt Carol's house and completely stuff ourselves with amazing food!

Happy New Year everyone! What are your plans?

Christmas Movie Traditions!

After a long day at work today, My mom and I are partaking a Miller Family Tradition. Very year without fail we watch Christmas Vacation. It is one of the stupidest yet funniest movies I have ever seen. This year we got a group of our friends at school to watch the movie together. Some had seen it before, and some had never seen it and probably thought it was crazy! I mean what more is there to love there is thousands of Christmas lights, some vulgar language, and ridiculous humor!
I don't think they have enough lights?

Freeze!

Merry Christmas, shitter's full!
Merry Christmas Eve Eve! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas with family and friends. Tomorrow I will be working 8-2, and then I will be headed out to my Grandma's for our big traditional get together.
Merry Christmas!!!

The Christmas season is finally here!

Hey everyone!
The Christmas season is here, and it is in full swing here in IL. I have been working like crazy at...

Panera Bread
This place has been hopping, and today was the worst! There was lines like you couldn't believe, and my friends came into my store today. It was good to see them, but I didn't even have time to really talk to them. I came home to a surprise from my mom. She had put up our Christmas tree this afternoon! It was nice to come home to that after a long day at work. I have been working most days, and then after working I come home and take a nap. Being on my feet all day at work really wears me out! Duh, it's supposed to.

I hope you all are having a lovely holiday season and great start to your winter break. If I don't post before Christmas, I hope you all have fantastic Christmas Eve's and Day celebrations!

Christmas in July? Weather wise.

Happy Monday!
The weather is nuts!
I mean I have heard of Christmas in July, but normally in December it doesn't feel like the summer! I opened my internet, and it told me that it is currently 71 Degrees?!? WHAT? I am in absolute heaven with it too! Walking to class this morning gave me the perfect opportunity to soak up the sun! (It was cloudy, but you get the picture)  Normally, December 3rd would look like...

not...
It is amazing!
Don't get me wrong... this is not complaining. I just would like to have it feel like the Christmas season just once before the 25th. This may just happen though, Wednesday's forecast is a high of 37. So, it is definitely possible for that fluffy white stuff!

Hope all is well with everyone. It is the final week of classes, so it is going to be a little stressful for the next ten days! Ten days until break! We can most definitely do it!

Life is rushing by...

How is it possible that it is December 1st already? When did I suddenly wake up, and it is almost time to begin another year? I feel as if I am living my life in fast lane. I have no time to blog! I have all these cute ideas about blog posts, and by the time I sit down to writing one of them I either don't know what to say or have no energy to do it. I am very excited that today marks the official countdown to the arrival of Jesus' birth. I can't wait to post pictures of stuff, and talk about Christmas traditions. I don't know if I will actually have time for that, but here we go... Happy December Everyone!
I had the opportunity to put up my Grandmother's Christmas tree today!

kjjfkajflkdajklfjakljdflaj.

That is how I feel about life.
The end.

Just kidding. I just wanted to put out a short post saying that I am alive, and no I have not fallen off the face of the earth. I have been busy to say the least. Blogging is the last thing on my mind. I have three weeks left of this semester. Once that is over I will finally be able to breath again. I hope all is well with my lovely followers (and anonymous ones). I hope your turkey day break was fantastic, and I hope to put up a real post soon.

And for a random picture....
This is Libby.
Bye!

Looming Room Checks and a Muscle Practical.

Hello! Today is Friday. This means that there are 5 whole day until I get to go home for Thanksgiving break. How excited am I? Well considering that Lori and I have our own countdowns for a few weeks now, I would say that I am pretty excited. I can't wait to see my family, my dogs, and hopefully my friends. I also get the opportunity to work about 12 at the lovely Panera Bread.

Anyway...
Room checks are quickly approaching! Brace yourselves.... Just Joking. I am not looking forward to seeing the suite clean. I like it when it looks lived in. Abby and I have a fairly clean room. It is nowhere near perfect, but it isn't cluttered. Cassandra and Kaity's room on the other hand looks like a tornado went through it.
This is actually pretty similar to their room. Good thing we all get along.
I doesn't bug me in the slightest. I can become rich by just walking into their room. Kaity just happens to leave money and change all over and especially on the floor. Man, if finders keepers was socially acceptable I would be rolling in the quarters, literally. I get the lovely job of cleaning and de-molding the shower. It is not that bad, but the mold does intimidate me to no end. I have been spraying it since Monday hoping that it will slowly go away. We may or may not be pushing the date back so that we can go to our colleges NCCAA championship game against Bethel College tonight! Go Trolls!

Go Trolls!
On a much better note than cleaning a moldy shower, I come bearing good news that after weeks and countless hours studying cadavers, models, and posters of the human muscles that I passes my practical with a 97%. Best Friday Ever.

Say "hello" to Greg... He has nice muscles.

I hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend. Happy Weekend before Thanksgiving!!
I am going downtown Chicago for the Michigan Avenue Lights Festival tomorrow. What are your plans for the weekend?

one year.

Today is my one year blog anniversary. Yes, I am a complete dork writing about creating this blog one year ago today. With it being such a special day for my blog, I took a moment to think about what I have accomplished or done in the past year, and also thinking to the future.

It always shocks me when I look back at my life and see how far I have gone or what I have accomplished. I look back and think, "Who is that girl? She thinks she knows everything, she has everything under control, and she is just living her life with no worries. Who does she think she is?" Not. It is just weird to imagine myself being a freshman in college again. We thought we were the stuff! We thought we were the coolest kids on campus, and that we ruled the school. Now we just think we are cool, but are so busy and stressed out to worry about being cool.

I think about how far I have come since last year in other ways too. I think about my jobs and future career. I have two great jobs to go back to in a few weeks after finals. I have an amazing opportunity to be in the nursing program at my college. I have so many things to look forward to in the next few years. By this time next year, I will be wearing blue scrubs and going to a hospital for clinicals. In three years, I will (cross my fingers) be working in a hospital supporting myself and paying off my debt. Who knows if this is what God even has in mind.

Future
Love it
1 year. 94 posts. 15 comments. 10 followers. 4, 586 pageviews.
Through all that, I am still Addicted to Life.

Bye for now, my muscle flashcards and statistics homework are calling my name.

Worst Blogger Ever.

Happy Monday Everyone! It is November already! When did this happen? Welcome to frozen fingers, nose, ears, boot-wearing days, and darkness by 4:45. Why is the time change so mean? I am a daytime loving, sun absorbing, and Vitamin D craving kind-of girl.

Anyway...

To the real reason of this post. I am the worlds worst blogger, and I am
truly sorry. I am not the best blogger, but I truly try to come up with or think about ideas for new posts. I just didn't really have any creativity for writing a new post. So I am going to ramble. You have two choices.
1) Close this tab.
2) Scroll and read.
- No you won't hurt my feelings if you don't read it.

I want to share some of my favorite pins from Pinterest because this post needs some color.

My friend Lori and I have a countdown going until turkey day (technically the Wednesday before) and it is down to 15 days! That is 15 horribly long, stressful days filled with papers, presentations, and practicles.
Adios for now... Maybe I will be a better blogger in two days?

Project Inspire!

Today is the day I get to tell you about an awesome blog-connecting idea. I read other blogs more than I write my own, and a few months ago I came across 2 really cute blogs. I loved reading them, and one day there was a post about an idea of a card swap. Totally cool right??

So I am linking up with Chelsea and Hollie, they had the awesome idea to do a blog card swap. I had to sign up with them, and I got paired with Ashley. She is an awesome blogger from the East Coast. Here is her card!....

Sooooo cute!!!
Thanks sooo much Ashley for you thoughtful card! It meant a lot to get a card in the mail from someone other than my family (not that I don't appreciate it). I wish you the best in work, life, and all your adventures!

I am absolutely in love with her handwriting! Mine is horrible!
Snail-mail. The most important part of my day. I love walking from classes and stopping by the Mole-Hole to open the 660th mailbox to see if I have anything! I love the anticipation of waiting and getting mail! This was so much fun! I hope I can do something blog-like again in the future!

What if?

-What if Mondays didn't exist? Would we be productive or blame our lack of sleep or mood on Tuesday?
-What if Facebook, Instagram, Blogger, Twitter, etc. didn't exist? What would my course grades look like?
-What if TV, Hulu, Netflix, DVDs, Hollywood, etc. wasn't popular? How fit would I be or how smart would   I be?
-What if the Bible, praying, church, and my devotions were more important than the things listed above? Who would I be, where would I be, who would I affect or impact, and what would my daily life look like?

From here on out I need to focus on what is supposed to be more important in my life, and that is my relationship with God. No more am I going to say I will open my Bible tomorrow or after I finish watching the episode of Army Wives or Bones. He needs to be my priority, and nothing else.

What if the world thought that way too?
What is your what if?

P.S. Happy Monday by the way! Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Pure Michigan.

Last weekend Lori, Cassandra, and I made the twoish hour drive to Holland, MI last Thursday after classes. Lori's parents were sooo generous in letting us borrow their trailer for the weekend. So, we went camping at Holland State Park! We had so much fun. We may have eaten too many snacks, played to many games of Dutch Blitz, and we may have taken to many pictures. It was great to just get away for the three days and just relax. Here are some pics...
Our Home!

I officially love MI in the fall.

An awesome way to lose my Michigan-virginity. Lol

Fire! Took long to start.

Birthday stuff, Weekend Home, & Pink Hair.

This will be a wacky post. I have too much to say, and too little time to say it. This past week was great; it went super quick. I had planned with my grandma to come home on Thursday (4th) for my mom's birthday. I left campus and drove the hour to my work; which is were my mom works as well. I talked to the receptionist, and she let me back to see my mom without her knowing. I walked back to her work space, and totally surprised her! Also, when I talked to my grandma, she had informed me of a surprised get together that my mom's friends were putting together for her. We met at Louie's which is a local pizza place with uh-mazing breadsticks. She was also super suprised! It was great, and she had no idea!!!

"How can there be that many candles?"

Notice: the smoke...

Me and the Birthday Momma!
Happy Birthday Mom!!! I am so glad you had a fantastic day full of so many surprises!

I also got to come home this weekend and hang with that pretty lady picture with me above. We are like best friends with the biggest age gap! We went to a movie theater, and went out for dinner after the movie.
We saw Taken 2...
It was really good. Definitely see the first one though.
It was great to be home after being on campus for six weeks, and it was good to not have to pay $1.25 for laundry. I got to go to church on Sunday which was so great because it was World Communion Sunday. After church we made Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins which hopefully I will put a post up about eventually.

I drove back to campus listening to K-Love the entire drive home. I love it when they play that station with no commercials. My suitemate Cassandra's parents took a bunch of us out to Beggars for pizza (sooo good).

One more thing, I know your thinking when will she end this post...

Lastly, I dyed my hair pink for Breast Cancer Awareness (thanks to Cassandra)

This chica is Cassandra... We have matching shirts (kinda).

Adios, for now. I have a skeleton practical for Anatomy & Physiology on Thursday, and then I am going camping for my 3-day weekend in Holland, MI!

My Motivation.

So, If you don't already know, I am on a special doctor prescribed diet for controlling some stomach issues and lactose intolerance. I can't eat any dairy (harder than it seems), corn syrup (which is everything in a bag or box or processed), apples, watermelon, cherries, and onions (no biggie... I think they are disgusting).

Why am I talking about personal stuff?

Well...

On top of all that stuff above, I am working out with my good friend Cassandra, and we do the 30 day shred (no comment). Also, mostly everyday my friend Lori and I go for a 3 mile run/walk.

Anyway, the point of this blog was to show you...
1) How much I have lost
2) How many people liked my status; which insanely touched my heart.

Currently, this like count is up to 35 likes! This isn't even about boasting about the weight loss or the like amounts. It is sooooooooooo touching to see that many people care about me and my accomplishment.

That, ladies and gents, is my motivation! When you have that many people who care about health and losing weight it just makes me want to put jillian in the DVD player or put on my tennies and go for a run through the neighborhood in the fall weather.

Ciao for now...
I will update tomorrow hopefully!

P.S. I almost cried after each and every like or comment. I love you all! Goodnight :)

Crafty.

This weekend Lori and I went on a Pinterest diy craft adventure. We had a lot of success and one failure. We went to Meijer and Michael's to get our needed supplies. First we did spray paint t-shirts.

spray paint and masking tape. looks like fun!
The idea....

The after affect. (We washed to quickly.)

Our second craft for the night was decorating pumpkins. Mine was a mini-real pumpkin, and Lori's was a large, fake pumpkin. It was super cute.

√ Glow in the dark puff paint instead of carving.
Pinterest version.

My pumpkin.

Lori's pumpkin.
Our third craft was delicious...

√ doughnut holes, nutella, sprinkles and pretzels make cute little fall acorn snacks!
Acorns!
Yum!
Lastly, we painted thin canvases to decorate the dorms, and while at the store I ruined my jeans and Toms. Oh well.
Pinterest Version.

Mine are the green, blue, and green-blue ones on the left and middle.
Lori's are the blue and purple ones; which are gorgeous!
It was such a fun weekend doing crafts and watching The Cinderella Story and Fired Up!
