Last weekend at home.

It is my last weekend at home before I move back to school tomorrow morning. Its about twelve hours until I leave my home, family, and pets behind for a fun filled, second year at college. I am beyond stoked, but I will probably get homesick fairly quickly.

Friday, I had the day off of work. What? She took a day off? Yep. For my sanity. I went to Olive Garden with my grandma, and we had a great time catching up and just chit-chatting. I love her dearly, and I will miss seeing her at church and whenever we hang out.

My mom and I also drove down to my Aunt's house to decorate secret stuff for my cousin Sarah's baby shower in just 3 short weeks. We had a blast making a bunch of cute stuff, and I got to catch up with my family and friends that live down there. 

Saturday, Mom and I went to the Cubs vs. Rockies baseball game. It was alot of fun. We usually make it a habit to go every year to see a game. I had my camera with me, and I got some great shots too. Although, the Cubs didn't win.

Today, I went to church! I was so happy to go to church on my last day in Waukegan. I haven't been able to go to church in a while because of work. I also packed today. Nothing like waiting till the last minute. I got a futon matress from my awesome and amazing youth director Kari. She is so awesome, and I am so grateful for her! I finally finished packing about an hour ago, and mom and I loaded her SUV. 

I can't wait to get back down to campus, and unload all my stuff. I am so excited to see everyone again, and I am dreading class. Good bye for now.

Horrible tragedy.

I read about a family tragedy while on vacation. A family of seven was on vaca and the mother passed away. I donated to help this family out. Hopefully you can too. You can read it for yourself here:

All ready or Already?

Am I all ready to go back? Cause it's already time to go back?

I haven't even begun packing. Good thing I have about ten days to do so. It will be a very busy and quick 10 days. I have work, get togethers, party's, packing, going to a Cubs game, and so much more before I make the 62 mile drive back to campus! I am excited and stressed.

I really need to write a long post cause these short ones aren't cutting it, but I am trying to pack something before I leave for work in one hour! Hasta Luego!

3 weeks...

3 weeks until...
I pack all my belongings, well most of them, and take the hour or so drive back to college!!! I am beyond excited to see all of my lovely friends again. I think the only problem I am going to have is figuring out how to get the futon apart to put in my mom' suv. I so stoked to get back on campus, and give all of my friends a giant hug and never let go. I'm not as excited for classes because I am taking 7 classes! (Music Lit, Nutrition, PE-ish, Stats, Anatomy, Med Terminology, and Nursing Concepts) I am really excited to have time to relax since my summer was filled with non-stop working. I hope everyone's summer is winding down well. I need to end this post soon so I can get to cleaning and then off to work again.

3 MORE WEEKS!

Best surprise ever.

My day yesterday and the past .few days have been so stressful. I have been having trouble with finding money for school this semester, and combined with my lack of focus and determination led to stress and a very unhappy me. I have been very happy at work, and I love my job. I just feel like work and figuring out where I can get more money has been consuming my life.

I have been trying to get my life here together. I have had no time to hang out with my friends, and I know both them and me are not happy about that. What can I say, I like making money more. I hate to say that, but it is the truth.

So, anyway that wasn't where I was going with this post. I went to the bank yesterday, and when I came home I went to the mail box. I saw an envelope addressed to me from the lodge in my town. I received a scholarship from them last summer for school, and I had re-applied for it this summer. I frantically went into the house, and I opened the envelope to a check made out to me for 1250.00 dollars!!! Let me tell you, I started crying because I was so happy after such a stressful week!!

That's it for now, and I hope to make a post about my vacation last week before too long.

P.S.  It is exactly one month to the day that I move into my new dorm!!!

It's July already??

Oh my stars! Since when? I was working yesterday at Panera, and a customer asked me what the date was. I proceeded to look at the register next to mine and saw it said 7/1/12. WHAT? I then turned back to her in shock, and I told her July 1st. What the heck? How is it possible that I have been back in the 847 for almost two months? I still have 7 weeks left here. I am getting so stoked to move back to trinland!

How's everyone's summer? I feel like all my friends are so busy!
